iXon Ultra 897
Facilitated by a fundamental redesign, the NEW iXon Ultra platform takes the popular back-illuminated 512 x 512 frame transfer sensor and overclocks readout to 17 MHz, pushing speed performance to an outstanding 56 fps (full frame), whilst maintaining quantitative stability throughout. The status of ‘Ultimate Sensitivity’ is also preserved in this model, offering thermoelectric cooling down to -100°C and industry-lowest clock induced charge noise. Additional unique features of the iXon Ultra include USB connectivity and direct raw data access for on the fly processing. EMCCD and conventional CCD readout modes provide heightened application flexibility, with a new ‘low and slow’ noise performance in CCD mode. The significant speed boost offered in the iXon Ultra 897 facilitates a new level of temporal resolution to be attained, ideal for speed challenged low-light applications such as super-resolution microscopy, single molecule tracking, ion signalling, cell motility, single photon counting, lucky astronomy and adaptive optics. The extremely low noise of the iXon 897 coupled with the new overclocked speed performance will place this model at the forefront when it comes to upgrading the high end imaging performance of your laboratory.

A1MP / A1rMP+ Multiphoton Confocal
Nikon’s A1R MP multiphoton confocal microscope is a unique multiphoton imaging system featuring a fast, high resolution galvanometer scanner and an ultra-high speed resonant scanner that is capable of frame rates from 30 fps at 512 x 512 pixels to as fast as 420 fps in band scan mode. New 4 channel non-descanned detectors with higher sensitivity, reduced dark current and broad spectral range allow for real time unmixing of closely spaced probes for accurate and high-contrast spectral imaging. This is especially important in multiphoton microscopy because of the overlap of emission spectra of probes and autofluorescence, which is often unavoidable when using a single laser line.

A1R+ A1+ Confocal
The A1R+ / A1+ confocal laser microscope system is Nikon’s powerful fully-automated confocal imaging system, capable of capturing high-quality confocal images of cells and molecular events at high speed and enhanced sensitivity. Ideal for facilities with a broad range of users, the A1+ has been designed with groundbreaking new optical and electronic technology innovations to provide unprecedented system quality and flexibility. New features such as Nikon’s GaAsP multi-detector unit enables brighter, even higher resolution images than ever before.

AZ-C1 Macro Laser Confocal
Combining the AZ100 Multizoom and C1 Confocal Microscope, Nikon has designed the ultimate platform for in vivo imaging. Ideal for developmental biology, cell biology, stem cell and tissue research, the AZ-C1 macro confocal microscope system allows the researcher to view large specimens in confocal mode. The AZ-C1 can not only capture fields of view of larger than 1cm, but also permits deeper confocal imaging than conventional microscopes thanks to its large working distance objectives. Whole organisms can be monitored and documented over time (for example, embryos) offering a wealth of continuous information on development or the organism’s response to experimental variables.

AZ100 Multizoom
The AZ100 Multizoom represents a new concept in zoom microscopes. It covers an extremely wide range of magnifications, from 5x to 400x, effectively combining the advantages provided by stereo zoom microscopes and compound microscopes. Thanks to a smooth zooming mechanism and a unique triple nosepiece, the AZ100 can continuously switch magnifications, extending from macro to micro observation of the same specimen.

Biostation CT
The Nikon BioStation CT allows imaging experiments to be conducted without ever removing the cells from the incubator. Consisting of a standard sized tissue culture incubator with an inverted microscope inside, BioStation CT holds 30 vessels ranging from 96 well plates to 75cm2 flasks, which are moved between the microscope stage and the vessel rack via a robotic device while maintaining precise levels of CO2, humidity, and temperature. BioStation CT provides images from 2x to 40x phase images with apodized phase contrast (APC) optics and fluorescence images with three color LED illumination. A bird’s eye color macro view allows the entire vessel to be viewed from above. Complete security is provided: users access only the samples for which they have clearance. Experimental results are reliably traced and can be accessed remotely via an internet connection or LAN.
