The Nikon BioStation CT allows imaging experiments to be conducted without ever removing the cells from the incubator. Consisting of a standard sized tissue culture incubator with an inverted microscope inside, BioStation CT holds 30 vessels ranging from 96 well plates to 75cm2 flasks, which are moved between the microscope stage and the vessel rack via a robotic device while maintaining precise levels of CO2, humidity, and temperature. BioStation CT provides images from 2x to 40x phase images with apodized phase contrast (APC) optics and fluorescence images with three color LED illumination. A bird’s eye color macro view allows the entire vessel to be viewed from above. Complete security is provided: users access only the samples for which they have clearance. Experimental results are reliably traced and can be accessed remotely via an internet connection or LAN.

The Nikon BioStation IM-Q is a compact cell incubator and monitoring system that allows users with minimal microscopy experience to conduct live cell imaging without a steep learning curve. The BioStation IM-Q time-lapse imaging system facilitates a broad array of short-term and long-term time-lapse experiments, including studies of cell growth, morphology, and protein expression, by providing consistent environmental control of temperature, humidity and gas concentration in combination with phase and fluorescence imaging of exceptional quality. Additionally, researchers can select from two types of microscope cameras. Perfusion capabilities further expand experimental possibilities.

CFI Achromat Series objective lenses. Correction for chromatic aberration in this series has been dramatically improved and is now at the same level as the CFI Plan Achromat Series. These CFI Achromat objectives were also corrected for spherical aberration and coma and image flatness across the 22mm field of view has been drastically improved. The result: truly exceptional quality for this class of objectives.

CFI Achromat Series objectives for phase contrast microscopy. Correction for chromatic aberration in this series has been dramatically improved and is now at the same level as the CFI Plan Achromat Series. Images are crisp, clear and flat across 22mm field of view. These microscope objectives provide excellent phase contrast imaging at an exceptional price.

CFI Apochromat TIRF Series Objective Lenses. These microscope objectives have highest NA available using standard immersion oil and glass coverslips. Thanks to incredibly high NA, when used in TIRF, they provide the shallowest evanescent field possible with oil immersion lenses. ApoTIRF objectives provide chromatic correction from 435nm to an incredible 1064nm. In addition they have terrific IR throughput, facilitating the ability to image and trap single molecules in the same focus plane, as well as make a terrific choice for multi-photon applications. A world-first temperature-change correction ring is included in the 60x and 100x Apo TIRF oil objectives. Users can easily correct temperature-induced changes – from 23° C (room temperature) to 37° C (physiological temperature) – in the refractive index of the immersion oil that can cause spherical aberration.

CFI E Plan Achromat Series objective lenses. As part of Nikon’s renowned CFI60 optical system, CFI E Plan objectives deliver long working distances, high numerical apertures and flat images over the entire field of view with virtually no curvature of field when the field number is 20 millimeters. With these optics, educational microscopes have been given the same optical technology that was previously reserved for advanced research-grade microscopes.

CFI Plan Apochromat Lambda Series Objectives for Biological Microscopes. Nikon’s exclusive ultra-low refractive index coating technology “Nano Crystal Coat” used in the manufacture of professional SLR camera lenses, is now incorporated into the new Plan Apochromat λ series objectives. This technology enables remarkably high transmission throughout a broad range of wavelengths, from UV to the near-IR region. Offering bright, sharp and high contrast images, these lenses are perfect for multi-color fluorescence live-cell imaging, particularly for fluorescent dyes with longer wavelengths that are less phototoxic to living specimens.

CFI plan apochromat series objective lenses for phase contrast microscopy. Correction for chromatic aberration has been improved and now extends across the entire visible spectrum to include the violet wavelength. High Numerical Apertures with longer working distances, comprehensive aberration correction, and superior flatness of field of view across 25mm make Nikon’s CFI Plan Apochromat series for phase contrast microscopy ideal for the most demanding research projects. These objectives can also be used effectively for DIC observation.

The CFI Plan Apochromat VC series Objective Lenses are top performance objectives with perfect correction of chromatic aberrations in the visible light range and excellent resolution throughout the field of view. They are the perfect choice for multi-stained, fluorescence specimens and when using brightfield and DIC techniques. In addition to the correction range of the conventional Apochromat series (435-660nm), axial chromatic aberration has been corrected up to the violet range (405nm), making these objectives highly effective PA-GFP, as well as other photo-activation and photo-conversion proteins that activate at 405nm. CFI Plan Apochromat VC optics are an ideal choice for critical confocal work as well.
